Margaret Helen Dowell

MARGARET HELEN DOWELL (nee RULE) age 80 passed away on May 20 2011 at the VNA Hospice in Valparaiso IN. She is survived by her husband Thomas Dowell Sr. of 61 years three children: Thomas Dowell Jr. of DallasTX Cynthia Sue (David) Boivin of Roselle IL and Donald Gene (Jayne) Dowell of the Dalles Oregon 8 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren sisters Doris Dowell of Pinckneyville IL and Jodi Taylor of Phoenix AZ sister-in-laws Doris Dowell of Portage and Marge Dowell of Hammond and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Robert (Bud) Rule parents Robert and Pearl Rule. A retired Deli Technician from Jewel Food Store Chesterton with 13 years of service. Margaret was born on January 29 1931 in Pinckneyville IL to Robert and Pearl Rule. Her dreams were to walk on the Holy Ground in Israel with good friends the Bashores of Hebron and the Ondos of Lake Station. She loved the Lord and shared this with her church the Living Word Sanctuary. Margaret was also a member of the Bonner Senior Citizen Center in Portage. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 25 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at The Living Word Sanctuary Church (737 N. State Rd. 149 Valparaiso) with Pastor Dorris Dunlap officiating. At rest McCool Cemetery Portage. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the VNA Hospice in Valparaiso IN.
