Marcella Moelhman, 79 passed away on June 12, 2018.
Marcella was born on July 20, 1938 to Donal and Shirley (Walker) O’Reilly in Waukegan, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years, Robert; son in law Robin; and first cousin and dearest friend, Ellen Slagle. She is survived by children: Sandi Holeman, Craig Moelhman and Susan (John) Ward; grandchildren: Heather, Jessica, Jack, Neal, Megan, Madison and Marilyn; great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Aubrey, Olivia. brothers; Donal O’Reilly, Michael O’Reilly (Jeanie), Tom Janowski; sister, Donna Jean Yoder; sisters in law: Linda (Jim) Bowles and Kathy (Jim) Burczak; brother in law John (Ann) Moelhman; and many nieces and nephews.
After raising their family, Marcella and Bob retired to Arizona in 2000 beginning a new adventure of golfing and motorcycle riding. Here she took great pride of her 16 years of volunteer work at the White Elephant. In 2016, Marcella moved to Florida where she continued her passion of trying new things and volunteering.
Marcella had a joyful, kind spirit. Her enthusiasm for trying new things, good natured attitude, and uncanny ability to make friends were just a few of her strongest attributes.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sibling and friend and will be greatly missed by all.
Family and friends may gather for a Memorial at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service (811 E. Franciscan Dr., Crown Point, IN) on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Services will take place at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Tom Shanahan officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
