Lynn Bettie Naspinski (nee Maris), age 81, of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

Lynn is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ed Naspinski; daughter, Kimberly (Michael McDonald) Naspinski; daughters-in-law: Tina Naspinski, Jennifer Naspinski; grandchildren: Jessica (Wayland) Roach, Nicholas Naspinski, Jacob, Allison and Brianna Naspinski; great-granddaughter, Penelope Roach; and sisters-in-law: Johanna (Richard) Petro, Linda (Jon) Stemples.

Lynn was preceded in death by her sons: Matt Naspinski, Mike Naspinski; and parents: Albert and Florence Maris.

Lynn was born and raised in the Tolleston and Glen Park sections of Gary, IN. She was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School, Class of 1960, and earned her bachelor’s degree in education at Western Michigan University. Lynn was a very passionate book reader and enjoyed traveling the world. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother who would attend and participate in all of their activities.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Geisen-Pruzin Funeral & Cremation Services, 6360 Broadway Ave., Merrillville, IN 46410 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Shanahan officiating.

Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
