LOIS E. LIPTON age 84 of Merrillville passed away Thursday June 5 2008. Survived by 6 children: Mary (Mike) Grable of West Lafayette Betty (Scott) Kiechle of Lowell John (Linda) Lipton of Moline IL Jim (Kim) Lipton of Indianapolis Mark (Alecia) Lipton of Mason OH &amp Tom (Chris) Lipton of Mishawaka IN 15 grandchildren: Bill &amp Kristen Amber &amp Meagan Jeffrey &amp Bradley Beth Amy Kyle Craig Michelle Mimi &amp Michael Marci (Ro) Lopez and Scot 2 sisters: Charlotte (late Lou) Hoover of IL &amp Betty (Bill) Spieth of Lansing MI and several nieces nephews &amp cousins. Preceded in death by husband Leonard parents Roger &amp Luanna Griffith sister Peggy Griffith and brother Duane BudGriffith. Lois was a wonderful mother and devoted her life to raising her six children. She would somehow always find time to watch the Cubs play ball listen to the Blackhawks or read a book. Mrs. Lipton was the Go-toperson of the neighberhood. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville on Sunday from 2-6 P.M. Funeral services will be held Monday June 9 2008 at 11:30 A.M. from the Pruzin Brothers Chapel with Rev. Jerry Ulrich officiating. At rest Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Schererville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lake Co. Although unable to be there in person I felt as though I was there in spirit...especially after viewing the pix. Thanks for making them available to us! I was amazed at the numerous pictures Aunt Lois was in as we never could get one of her willingly =0 ). What fun memories of coming to your house getting lost in your subdivision and how could we forget all those stairwell shots! My heart goes out to all of you as you carry on without your Mom & Dad (grandma & grandpa). In closing I want to say to Tom how proud I am to know there is now another Chris Lipton to carry on the family name! Love & Hugs to you all from St. Louis!

For Betty(A Good Friend) So sorry to hear you mom has passed. I remember meeting her at her house and how she welcomed me into her house. We had stopped in to see her before going to lunch you and I. I also got the privaledge to buy her washer and dryer. Along with them came a little magnet that I use to stick up notes with and every time I use it I remember you mom. Thanks for letting me meet her and know you better. Know that she is with her maker and is watching over all her children. May God Bless you all with peace and love. Liz

Dear Mary and Family! I have been thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers all week and of course since hearing about your Moms death on Thursday. What a wonderful lady she was and what a family she has! You have cared for her wonderfully and have so many great memories to cherish forever. Things will be different now a new normal..but you will always remember her and she will never really be away..but always in your hearts! I am thankful I got to know her even for awhile. Dear Mary We just returned home from Johns family (his Dads funeral)and I heard Susies phone message that your Mom passed on Th. (the same day of Johns Dads funeral). When I read your Moms obituary I told John that the CUBBIES will surely win the world series with your Mom and Jack in heaven (Jack was a true cubs fan). Dear Marylou Betty John Jim Mark and Tom. My heart was heavy at the news of your mothers passing. It is always at this time you take the time to remember someone and realize what an incredible person your mom was. Lois Lipton was a strong loving and caring woman. She always had a kind word for everyone. She was definitely the go to person. Go to when my mom asked one of you could tutor me in math go to when my mom ran out of tea or other problems. I have a ton of respect for this awesome person who helped mold my life the lives of 7 other people and managed to enjoy her own life. I know that now in front of our lord he is saying Welcome home good and faithful servant for you have served me well We remember at this time that our sadness and loss is truly for ourselves as we will not be privileged to have her near us but she is home with our lord and savoir and many others. She will be near us in different ways in memories that will carry on for ever. So let us also all at this time remember to celebrate the life of this incredible woman and remember the marks she has left us on our lives. In loving memory Mike Traber
