David F. Snakenberg & Family left a message on April 19, 2010:
I was shocked to hear of the passing of my cousin Linda. Since we have moved to Indiana we have been in touch at Christmas and through occasional letters. It was 1965 the last time I saw her. I was passing through on my way to my new ship in Norfolk, Viginia. I was in the Navy and visited her and the rest of the family when they were still living in Dalton, Ill. I'll will always remember her friendliness and the way she treated everyone as if they were close family. We are very sorry for your loss.

Tim and Mike, Marty and I just wanted to express how sorry we were about your Mom. Although we hadn't seen each other in years, when we visited Linda at the hospital it was like old times. She was way too young to die but I'm glad it didn't drag on too long for her. Love, Uncle Marty & Aunt Marsha

I've been sitting at my computer for a half hour now, trying to write something that would explain what Linda meant to me. However, that would take far more space than these guest books allow. Linda was kind and exhibited a degree of patience that will forever amaze me. She was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge- though she never boasted her intellegence. Her resoursfulness and strength put to shame those who would ever utter the silly phrase just a housewife. Over the years we discussed all matter of subjects and hers was an opinion I grew to value and respect. She was the ever-present confidant and voice of reason to me and many others & somehow managed to avoid an air of judgement or disapproval- another trait that astounds me. I hope her boys know what an amazing woman they had for a mother. I had an amazing friend and I will miss her.
