Linda K. Nibert nee Dudley, age 65, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at her home with her loving family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years: Jerry; 2 daughters: Brenda Rick Matijevich of Crown Point, IN and Tamatha Nibert of Austin, TX; 2 grandsons: Erik and Zack Matijevich ; brothers and sisters: Marge Jim Bird, Jim Evelyn Dudley, Sandy Nuckles, Karen Dudley; and many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Elsie Dudley; brother Richard Dudley and dear friend Jane Hershey. Linda regrettably retired after 20 years of service as office manager and paralegal from Ken Unterberg & Associates due to her illness. She was an avid and talented quilter and belonged to The Heritage Quilters, The Paducah Pals, and the Starters Club. She was a former member of Psi Iota XI. She enjoyed gardening and took pride in having her home in the Crown Point Garden Walk in 2000. Linda also enjoyed antiquing, especially collecting Elsie the Borden Cow memorabilia. Linda was an involved and caring mother to her daughters and continued her devotion to her grandsons whom she loved more than chocolate. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:30 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION- 2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN, with Pastor Karl Sickles officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre.
