LILLIAN E. (nee MOLCHAN) MARTIN, of Hobart, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018.
The Lord said, “Lillian, your work is done.” He then sent his angels to take her to His heavenly home to rest in peace.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Michael & Mary (nee Movchan) Molchan of Gary; husband Charles “Charlie” Martin; dear brothers: Elmer, George “Little Oscar,” and Stephen Molchan; sisters-in-law: Dolores Molchan, Mary Ann (nee Vahary) Molchan; sister Sue Shadwell Phillips; nephews Wally Shadwell and Alan Molchan; niece Desi Molchan; brothers-in-law: Pete Phillips, Bernard Wisner; and her sister-in-law Lorene Johnson.
Lillian was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, the Rosary Society, and waitressed at the Friday Fish Frys at church. She was a retired employee from Calumet Park Cemetery and a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute.
She is survived by her brother Alex Molchan; sister Agnes Wisner; brother-in-law John Johnson; nephews & nieces: Bob Shadwell, Greg Molchan, Brent and Steve Johnson, Bernie Wisner, Janet Wisner, Mary Ellen Diekhoff, Kathy Lis, and many more great nephews, great nieces, and Godchildren. To my very special nephew, Brent and Goddaughter/Niece, Janet, and dearest friends Dave, Linda, and Alice: “Thank you for your sincere love and hugs. You were my happiness. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (6360 Broadway, Merrillville) on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 P.M. There will be a Rosary at 2:30 P.M. and a Prayer Service at 3:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 9:30 A.M. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 A.M. from St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church (557 W. 57th Ave., Merrillville) with Rev. Basil Hutsko officiating. At rest Calvary Cemetery.
