LEOLA LUCAS nee RATCLIFFE , age 75, of Merrillville, IN, formerly of Gary, IN, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Southlake Nursing & Rehab Center in Merrillville. She is survived by: Son- James E. Lucas of Gary, IN Daughter: Mary E. Glenn Zale of Merrillville, IN Brother: Bill Noel Ratcliffe of Lyons, IN Many Sisters-In-Law, Nieces & Nephews, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by: Husband-Hubert L. Parents: William & Lola Brother-Virgil Helman Sister-Barbra Ratcliffe Smith Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at 7:00 PM at Geisen Funeral Home, Crown Point Rev. John Neese officiating Burial will be on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at 1:00 PM at Stevens Cemetery in Lewis, IN Friends may call at Geisen Funeral Home, 109 N. East St., Crown Point on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Mrs. Lucas was a member of Griffith/Grace Assembly of God Church in Griffith and retired nurse from Hobart Mercy St. Mary Medical Center. Leola was deeply involved with caring for children all of her life. Her compassion and prayers will be greatly missed by friends and loved ones alike.
