LAWRENCE “Larry” MARINO, age 80 of Crown Point, IN, passed away at home surrounded by all of his loved ones, on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
Survived by his wife of 54 years, Pearl (nee Lavendusky); five children: Michael Marino, Deborah Marino, Carol (Tomas) De La Paz, Robert (Jennifer) Marino, Susan (Scott) Williams; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Nick Marino; sister, Maria (Marty) Joyce. Preceded in death by parents, Jasper and Fannie Marino.
Larry was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Tolleston High School, Class of 1954, and an Army veteran. Larry was a retired Roll Grinder from Sheet & Tin Mill, US Steel with 37 years of service. He served on the Lake County Board Zoning Appeals, and was a Vice-Committeeman.
Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville, on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Prayer service at 2:30 pm. Funeral service will be Monday, April 10, 2017 at 10:00 am. DIRECTLY from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 509 W. Division Rd., Valparaiso, with Rev. Doug Mayer officiating. There will be one half-hour of visitation at church prior to service. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery.
