Lael D. Summa

Lael D. Summa, age 87, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Chicagoland Christian Village. He is survived by his wife: Beth Summa; children: Leslie Bill Groenewold of Orange County, CA and Jeff Sherry Summa of Cedar Lake, IN; step-children: Barbara Eric Lewis of Homewood, IL and David Ann Fassett of McVeytown, PA; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother: Terry Summa of Los Gatos, CA; brother-in-law: Robert Carroll of Santa Clara, CA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife: Harriet Summa. Lael was a former member of the Munster Presbyterian Church, former owner of Rub-A-Dub Laundromat, co-owned Cla-Sum Insurance Agency and Real Estate in Calumet City, IL and worked at Prorok Realty in Calumet City, IL as a real estate agent. Lael was an Army veteran of World War II and enjoyed baseball, golfing, fishing, and hunting. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION 2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN, with Chaplain Frank Klobucar and Rev. Robert Horton co-officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre.
