Kristine “Krissie” Nunley (nee Callas), age 53, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
Krissie is survived by her mother, Laurie Callas (nee Mucha); her aunts & uncles: Stan (Johnnie) Mucha, Jan (Stan) Zolodz, Larry (late Margene) Mucha, Beth (Dave) Phillips and Anna Mae (late Julian) Femiak; and her many cousins.
Krissie was preceded in death by her father, Richard D. Callas.
Krissie was a graduate of Merrillville High School, Class of 1988. She earned her Bachelor degree in accounting from Purdue University Calumet and worked as an accountant for many years. Krissie had a big heart for those she knew and loved and also for complete strangers and animals.
Private services were held for Krissie and she was laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery next to her father.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Krissie’s name to your local Humane Society.
