Kim Lorraine Ausemus, age 55, of Michigan City, Indiana passed away March 22, 2024.

Kim was determined, feisty, spunky, and always spoke her mind. She proudly served in the United States Army, before becoming completely devoted to her family. Kim was a stay at home mom, who would always do whatever it took to take care of her family, no matter what. She was an avid animal lover and loved watching movies.

Kim is survived by her husband, David Ausemus; her three sons, David Jr., Michael, and Anthony Ausemus; five grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.

Kim was proceeded in death by her parents, Al and Lin Pounder.

Visitation will take place at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home; 613 Washington Street, Michigan City, on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michiana Humane Society.

I have worked with and known Dave for many years. I want to send my deepest sympathy for the passing of Kim. Dave spoke of her often. I know he loved her very much, and she will be greatly missed.

Every day you will be remembered, of the kind loving person you were to everyone that came into your life.
