KENNETH “KEN” HOMEIER, age 91 of Crown Point, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
He is survived by daughter, Sherry (Brian) Ankner; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, June; two sons, Patrick and Wayne Homeier; daughter, Barbara Hamby; parents, Hattie and Ernest Homeier; 3 brothers, Leslie Homeier, Burdette Allen Homeier, and Everett Homeier; sister, Adele Shreckencost.
Mr. Homeier was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a former co-owner of Gruel Brothers Equipment for twenty five years, he worked for Morrison Construction Engineers for 12 years, and with Laborers for Christ building Lutheran Schools, Churches, and Buildings. Ken had two service stations, one in Schererville and one in Crown Point. He was a World War II Army Veteran.
Family and friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service, 811 E. Franciscan Dr., Crown Point (south of St. Rd. 231 on St. Rd. 55) on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, April 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Directly at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 250 S. Indiana Ave, with Rev. David Kipp officiating. There will be ½ hour visitation prior to funeral service at church. At rest, Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials preferred to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
