KATHERINE M. HALLETT, age 79 of Michigan City; formerly of Hobart, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. Survived by daughter Sandra (Mark) Pancer of Michigan City; son John Hallett of Michigan City; granddaughter Makayla Pancer; three sisters: Rose (late Ted) Zulich of Lake Station, Agnes (John) Huff of IL. Josephine (late Donald) Collins of Lake Station. Preceded in death by husband John “Jack” Hallett; son Arthur Hallett; and brother Steve “Stretch” Kushneruk. Katherine was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #100 of Lake Station. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (6360 Broadway, Merrillville) on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with a Legion Auxiliary service at 6:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 9:30 am from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 am from SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (5885 Harrison St., Merrillville) with Rev. Roy Beeching officiating. At rest Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart.
