Katherine (Kata) Jancetich

KATHERINE KATAJANCETICH age 88 of Merrillville passed away Friday May 14 2010. She was born August 9 1921 in Croatia and came to the U.S. in 1960 to join her parents. She is survived by son: Louis Jancetich of Merrillville daughter: Violet Svetich of Crown Point 2 grandchildren: Katrina (Keith) Nagy James V. (Jodi) Svetich of Crown Point 4 great grandchildren: Lauren Kyle and Ryan Nagy and Jack Svetich cousins: Dragica (Tom) Brebrich and William (Marina) Brebrich and their son Lucas of Hobart relatives in Croatia Canada Germany and Austrailia. Preceded in death by husband: Vinko Jancetich parents: Vincent and Ana Brebrich She was a longtime member of St. Joseph the Worker Croatian Church and CFU Lodge #170 and a former member of CCU Lodge #1. All of her life was devoted to her parents children grandchildren great-grandchildren who loved her and called her Cerko Super Nana. She will be remembered by family and friends for her delicious strudle and garden produce with which she was very generous to all.
