KATHERINE B. OLDS (nee Pavlakovich), age 99 of Crown Point; formerly of Gary, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017.

She is survived by her daughter Sharyn (Rudy) Prieto; son Russell (Kathy) Olds; three granddaughters: Jackie Giovannini, JoAnn (Jerry) Wellnitz, Danica Prieto; four great-grandsons: Sebastian, Colin, Gino, & Joseph; great-granddaughter Gabrielle; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Joseph P. Olds, Sr.; son Joseph P. Olds, Jr,; and her 10 siblings.

Mrs. Olds was a longtime member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, the Rosary Sodality, and Altar Society. Katherine was also a longtime member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #170, the Croatian Retirees, past secretary and treasurer of the C.C.U. Lodge #1, past president of the Croatian Glee Club, and member of the Northwest Indiana Retirees. She also belonged to the Hoosier Hravati and the St. Joseph the Worker Christmas Choir.

Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (6360 Broadway, Merrillville) on Monday from 3:00-7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. DIRECTLY from St. Matthias Catholic Church (101 W. Burrell Dr., Crown Point). There will be visitation at the church ½ hour prior to Mass At rest Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Memorials are preferred to St. Anthony Hospice in Crown Point.
