Karl F. McKee, age 76, of Homosassa, FL , died April 18, 2009 in Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, FL. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 16 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Luke United Lutheran Church, with Pastor John Mikenas officiating. Karl was born June 20, 1932 in Chrisman, IL to Karl M. and Julie E. (Ireland) McKee, both of whom preceded him in death. As a young boy he moved to Michigan City. In 1963 he moved to Porter County, later he moved to Michigan to work. When he retired, he and his wife Shirley (Fecho) McKee retired to Homosassa, FL, enjoying the sunshine and warm weather. Karl is survived by his son Gordon, of Michigan City, sister Joan Peak, Chesterton, and a brother, Dale, Leesburg, FL, and three nieces. He was preceded in death by 2 infant children, adult daughters Karlene Ruge and Kristine Moser, 2 wives and his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke United Lutheran Church, 2000 Coolspring Ave. Michigan City, or the American Heart Association.
