Survived by two children: Denise (Ronald) Vance of Lowell and Cindy (Jon) Harts of Crown Point 7 grandchildren: Brian (Brooke) Vance Elizabeth Vance Kristin Harts Jon (Brittain) Harts Bernard Carstens IV Douglas Carstens Courtney Carstens great-grandson Brady Vance. Preceded in death by husband Bernard A. Carstens Jr. son Bernard A. Carstens III 2 brothers: Douglas & George Tatro 2 sisters: Pearl Moore & Louise Johnsen. Mrs. Carstens was a member of Youche Country Club the Longboat Key Country Club and the Cedar Lake Yacht Club. Friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service 811 East Franciscan Drive (on State Road 55 south of State Road 231) Crown Point for a memorial visitation on Wednesday May 13 2009 from 4-8 P.M. A memorial mass will be held Thursday May 14 2009 at 10:00 A.M. from St. Anthony Home Chapel (203 Franciscan Dr. Crown Point) with Rev. Myron Lowisz officiating. Gathering hour prior to services at church. At rest Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Schererville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Crown Point Community Foundation.
