Judith Teach, age 77, of Winfield, IN, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 after a long journey with dementia.

Judith is survived by her husband of 58 years, William D. Teach, and four children: Mark W. Teach, Laura (Paul) J. Teach-Certa, William (Rhoda) O. Teach, Brian (Edgar Lozada) J. Teach. Judith was blessed with 12 grandchildren: Juston Teach, Brittany Teach, Sophia Teach, Sarah (Brian) Davis, Scott (Amanda) Certa, Sean Certa, Staci (Robert) Welch, Stefan (Ayren) Certa, Celine (Zoran) Najdeski, Christian Certa, Evan Teach and Kelly Teach as well as 5 great-grandchildren. Judith also leaves behind her sister, Jean E. Kelly and brother, John (Sheila) Hildebrandt.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents: John and Jane Hildebrandt.

Judith loved her church, The First Presbyterian Church of Chicago Heights, IL where she was a deacon, a Sunday school teacher and chorister. Judith worked in retail for Carson Pirie Scott for 30 years until she retired in 2010. In retirement, Judith loved traveling, especially to Kentucky with William and spending time with her beloved family.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM with Pastor Rick Green officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Judith’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association www.ALZ.org to support their mission of finding a cure and ending The Longest Day.
