Laura Prunsky, half-sister, Tiffany Jeff Radomsky, step-sisters, Karen Kenneth Corneil and Rebecca Jeramy Rocchi, many cousins and extended family who came to know and love him, and Josh's little angel, Wrigley. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Peck Prunsky. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION- 2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN, with Pastor Greg Lee officiating. Entombment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point, IN from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Joshua was a 7th grade student at Col. John Wheeler Middle School in Crown Point, IN. Joshua was extremely active in numerous sporting activities, including Crown Point Jr. Bulldogs Football, Lighting Wrestling Club in Crown Point, IN, Crown Point Little League Baseball, Col. Wheeler Cross Country and loved water sports, skim boarding, surfing, scuba diving, dirt-biking, fishing and many spring break trips to different beaches and the local Dunes. Joshua had a great zest for life. To celebrate his passion for all sports, Josh has asked that all friends wear their favorite team sports jersey in his honor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Josh's name may be given to the Crown Point Community Foundation that will help fund many of Josh's local charitable organizations. Reading your journals has brought tears to my eyes..Your son has touched lives of people he has never met, and so have you, Jennifer. I have never met Josh, but have followed along with prayers and thoughts by Miss Sue's blog.I have heard about him, whether it be at Suncrest in sermons, or from my friend who knew Josh, as her husband had brain cancer last year as well. Or even here in Crown Point. He seemed always in the air. But, what I do know- is that as a mother of 3 sons, Josh was an extraordinary child. Such a beautiful boy. A Sweet son. A good friend. Dearest Josh, Although I have never had the pleasure of meeting you in person, I felt that I knew you because of your amazing spirit and strength. From the stories I have heard and the immense feeling of inspiration you shared while you were with us, I am blessed to have caught a glimpse. You were truly an exceptional young man with so much fight in him, I am so proud that my children can say they attended Col. John Wheeler Middle School where Josh Prunsky went...we moved here from AZ and I was honestly having a hard time adjusting but because of the people at WMS my children have settled in and it was because of you that my son Drake that I heard about you. He is a 6th grader but was compelled by your courageous story and he felt he needed to tell people about it. Heaven is a much better place with you there Josh and keep looking over your family because your mom is a truly exceptional being as well and she needs her lil' Angel to keep her safe. You will never be forgotten and the footprints you left in everyone's lives you have touched will be forever eternal. I have never met Josh, but have followed along with prayers and thoughts by Miss Sue's blog.I have heard about him, whether it be at Suncrest in sermons, or from my friend who knew Josh, as her husband had brain cancer last year as well. Or even here in Crown Point. He seemed always in the air. But, what I do know- is that as a mother of 3 sons, Josh was an extraordinary child. Such a beautiful boy. A Sweet son. A good friend. A simple soul. Just a great person. And, a blessing to us all who have been touched in so many countless ways by his life. I admire Josh, and am eager to find more courage and faith in God in my life, because of him. Thank you, Josh. This bible verse felt like it could have directly come from Josh, and also reminds me, of how much we can and have learned from him. From his sweet short life. But also, a loud, capable clear message. Josh was so strong. Stronger than most of us, all. For I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
