With my deepest heartfelt sympathy to the Starkey and Ruiz families as well as Joe's co-workers at Oak Partners. I was fortunate to know Joe who always guided me in the right direction. Joe served on the board of MHA of Northwest Indiana when I served as the CEO of the organization. He truly had a heart for service and a personal desire to serve the needs of the most vulnerable in the NWI community. While his life was too short, he truly represents a life well lived.
I've known Joe for quite some time now. Just heard of his passing and I am shocked. Trustworthy, competent, and compassionate is how I'd describe Joe. I will miss him. My heartfelt condolences to his family and all those at Oak Partners.
Sending my love and prayers to all the loved Joe.

Joe, Nancy, and family, we are so sorry to hear of Joe’s unexpected passing and are thinking of you during this difficult time. May his memory be eternal.
We got to know Joe as our girls played basketball together. I was always so impressed with his calm, steady support of Lyla as she progressed in the sport. Jordyn always commented how great of a teammate Lyla is and how excited she was to join volleyball because Joe was going to be the coach. It was evident Joe was a man of great character. Our hearts go out to the Starkey family.
May God help you find peace and comfort in your memories during this difficult time. Joe was a kind man with a very caring soul. He will be missed but never forgotten.
