JOSEPH “JOEY” F. KORUS, age 61 of Solsberry, IN; formerly of DeMotte and Gary, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 27, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years. Theresa (nee Kolczak); his loving children: Michael (Ashley Lopez) Korus of Bloomington, IN and Laura (Daniel) Brown of Parker, CO; his loving brother Richard Korus of Winimac, IN. Joseph was an avid hunter and loved to do all things outdoors, especially in the cold weather. Joseph was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in DeMotte, IN. He is also a member of Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Bass Masters, Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA) and past member of the Association of Iron & Steel Engineers (AISE). Joey was a graduate of Andrean High School, Class of 1969, Valparaiso Technical Institute, Purdue University, and was a retired project manager from U.S. Steel with 34 years of service.
