JOSE MIRANDA, age 67 of Laporte; formerly Portage, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014. He is survived by wife: Carol (nee Jahn) of 47 years; sister: Estrella (Emilio) Rodriguez of Portage; eleven nieces and nephews; one great-niece. Preceded death by parents: Jose and Maria Almodovar; brother: Angelo Miranda; five brothers and sisters that died at a young age. Jose was a retired Track Maintenance worker for EJ & E Railroad with 31 years of service. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 2700 Willowcreek Road, Portage, on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. Andrew Corona officiating. Cremation will follow services.

I want to say to the family how sorry I am for your loss. I know it's a very distressing time to deal with the loss of a loved one. Just got back from Fla. yesterday and was just reading the Times this evening and saw dear Joe's obit in the Thursday Times. Shannon had told us you were in the shop Tuesday.
