JOHN “Yonko” M. GALOCY, age 70 of Knox, formerly of Hegewisch, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015. Survived by his brother, Jim Galocy; nieces: Kim Galocy, Debbie (Jamie) Keilman, Tricia Galocy; sister-in-law, Patricia Kinder; many dear cousins; and loving friends, Les and Violet Jenkins. Preceded in death by his mother, Helen Galocy; sister, Loretta Galocy; brother, Andrew “Keko” Galocy; nephew, Jim Galocy; and aunts and uncles. Yonko was a real “people person.” He liked the simple things in life and loved being with his family and friends. He also loved his pets and enjoyed cooking. Family and friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service (811 E. Franciscan Dr., Crown Point) on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, March 30, 2015 at 12:00 noon from Pruzin & Little Chapel with Violet Jenkins presiding. There will be one hour of visitation at the chapel prior to service. At rest Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the family.
