JOHN YASELSKY age 80 of Merrillville passed away Thursday January 19 2006. Survived by wife Mary of 55 years daughter Major Tamara (Lt. Col. Jeff Frye) Yaselsky serving in the U.S. Air Force at Offutt AFB Omaha NE. Preceded in death by 2 brothers: Mike and Pete Yaselsky 3 sisters: Helen Hisick Ann Coons and Mary Borsdorf. John was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church and worked at the Friday Fish Frys a member of American Legion Post 367 Slovak Club American Russian League a graduate of Emerson High School and a World War II Army veteran. He was a former employee of the Gary Tube Mill and worked for the Gary School System at Lew Wallace High School for 26 years. A devoted husband and wonderful father a friend to so many will truly be missed. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville Monday from 2-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. a Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. and an American Legion service at 5:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held Tuesday January 24 2006 at 9:30 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 a.m. from St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church with Msgr. Frank Korba officiating.
