John L. Mikhel Jr., age 88, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Highland, IN, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
John is survived by his daughters: Wendy (Bret) Smith and Amy (Jim) Brown; grandchildren: Jacob Wing, Thomas Brown, and Joseph (Rachel) Brown; great-grandchild, Olivia; and brother, James (Sally) Mikhel.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Mikhel; parents: John Sr. and Julia Mikhel; and sister, Juliane Mikhel.
John served in the U.S. Army and was in the Army Reserves. He retired from LTV Electric Shop and was a former member of Indiana Harbor Yacht Club and Gary Sportsman Club. John enjoyed spending many weekends boating, fishing, and golfing.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 2:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 5:00 PM with Pastor Jamie Constant officiating.
