Having been in the Navy and now a member of the Skokie Valley Sail and Power Squadron. I to was a member of the Prospect Heights Volunteer Fire Department. I can see a lot of things that are similar we shared. Every one who has served in our Armed Forces. is a hero and John is one of them. The Navy hymn starts out with the words sung Eternal father strong to save. John was truly one of the strong. P/Cs Bud and Caryl Lemke.

We will miss John - not only was he a patriot businessman father and a friend he was an overall good person to be around. I had the chance to work with John at Noble Romans Pizza. He was a worker you could count on to give 100%. Later I had the opportunity to reconnect with John and I am glad I did. Loved listening to his stories of the military. You will be very missed John.
