John Dagys

John L. Dagys, age 56, of Beverly Shores, IN, passed away at his home on August 13, 2012. John was born on March 9, 1956 in Chicago, IL to Jaunutis and Anatanina Dagys. John is survived by his loving wife Rita, who he married 33 years ago; father: Jaunutis Dagys; and his beloved Golden Retrievers: Loon and Agate. John also is survived by his cousins: Elge (Algis) Eriningis, Kristina (Aivaras) Jonusas; Antanina Pranckevicius, Meilute Eringis, all of Chicago Ridge; Dr. Sandy (John) Valaitis-Rose of Western Springs, Jurgis (Nijole) Valaitis of Delaware, Jurgis (Dalia) Valaitis, Dana Valaitis of Canada; Mary Ann Cover and Kazys and Irma Jonaitis of Beverly Shores, Ron Marshall, Jack Benco, Jan Carol Ogden, Chuck Sampey and other friends and family in the United States, Lithuania, Canada and Great Britain. John was preceded in death by his mother. John graduated in 1978 cum laude from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor Degree in Architecture and an MBA. He worked for many years as vice president of operations for Bittner and Detella Architect Firm. John was an avid reader, writer, painter and had a great interest in quantum physics. He loved nature, art, collecting antiques, rocks and old books. There will be no visitation or services.
