Jewel Mae Waymire nee Byrd age 69 born in Morganton, N.C., forty year resident of Crown Point passed away on Monday, April 13, 2009. She is survived by 5 children: Debra Gale of Georgia Douglas Teresa Waymire of California Rhonda Johnny Kyncy of Demotte Donna Rob Barko of Rensselaer Michael Sarah Waymire of Hebron grandchildren: David, Shannon, Angela, Joe, Courtney, Michael, Martin, Andrew, Brian, Chris, Kevin, Kyle, Morgan, Michaelena and Aaron Preceded in death by parents: Edward and Iris Byrd brother: Charles Byrd nephew: Chuck Byrd Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 4:00 PM at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION at 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN 2 Blocks East of Broadway with Johnny Kyncy officiating. Burial of cremains at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery in Crown Point, IN. Memorial Visitation on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, Crown Point from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Jewel was a graduate of Davenport College and worked as a certified nursing aide and a home health aide. We were very sorry to hear of Jewel's passing. She was my mother's Floy Milligan Seagle niece and my cousin; although I always thought of her as my aunt. Jewel always had a lot of friends and was faithful about keeping in touch. She frequently returned to Morganton to reconnect with her high school friends at reunions. My mom, dad and I always enjoyed her visits as she always had some great stories to tell. When my husband, Hugh met Jewel for the first time, she treated him as if he were a friend she had known for years. Jewel was a very caring and thoughtful person. Always full of life with a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. Please know that we are keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
