We were very sorry to hear of Jewel's passing. She was my mother's Floy Milligan Seagle niece and my cousin; although I always thought of her as my aunt. Jewel always had a lot of friends and was faithful about keeping in touch. She frequently returned to Morganton to reconnect with her high school friends at reunions. My mom, dad and I always enjoyed her visits as she always had some great stories to tell. When my husband, Hugh met Jewel for the first time, she treated him as if he were a friend she had known for years. Jewel was a very caring and thoughtful person. Always full of life with a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. Please know that we are keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
