My condolences to the Misicko family. Jeanette was a leader, a mentor, and a friend and so much more. She was always teaching, but more importantly, always learning. She was a truth seeker who spoke her mind. Jeanette will be remembered fondly by those who knew her. Shakespeare must have been thinking of Jeanette when he wrote "Though she be but little she is fierce." She will be missed.

Jeanette was a kind and caring person who really loved teaching her students and even me. After I had taught 20 years in Hammond, I was assigned to teach kindergarten at Eggers School. Although I was not too thrilled with this assignment, she immediately told me I would love it and pitched right in giving me ideas and materials which proved to be extremely helpful for the rest of my teaching career. The most outstanding memory of Jeanette is when she would bring Kentucky fried chicken with all the trimmings to go floating down the Tippecanoe river with me. It was always so much fun to get together with Jeanette and Joe. Rest in peace, my friend!

So sorry to hear of Jeanette’s passing. She was a wonderful person. She allowed me to call her “shortstop”. Jeanette loved the School City of Hammond students. Her devotion to her students was immeasurable. Heaven welcomed a precious angel.

My condolences to the family of Jeanette. She was a customer of mine at Tmobile and she became a friend. She was my idol and I absolutely adored her. She called me her angel and now I can call her mine. I’m so grateful to have met her and I’m truly so sorry the world has lost her. Her spirit will never be forgotten.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I had the pleasure of knowing Jeanette as a fellow kindergarten teacher in Hammond. Years ago we went to Asheville, North Carolina for a conference and had a great time. She was a great teacher, friend and colleague. I’m sorry we lost touch when she retired.

My condolences to the family of Mrs. Misicko. Mrs. Misicko was my kindergarten teacher at Riverside elementary school in Hammond indiana in 1971. So many great memories of the Halloween party, painting at the easel and sleeping on that little rug for nap time. I remember her as a very small woman who I believe used to sit on a telephone book in her car to drive! I also remember her wooden shoes she wore on Halloween. Once again my condolences to her family, God rest her soul. Erick King

I'm so sorry for you immense loss. Jeanette was a wonderful person and neighbor ... with a vigilant eye on our homes and safety. More than once, she called to say I left my garage door up as nighttime fell! I felt safer knowing she was across the street, looking out for me as a fellow widow. I last saw her the day before her passing, waving as I headed out to run errands and she walked to the mailbox. She was a strong, lovely woman and I will miss having her nearby.
