James E. Steffel age 79 of Lowell, IN formerly of Hebron, IN passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at St. Anthony Medical Centre. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, June 5 Children: Todd Rita Steffel of Wisconsin Heidi Mike Fitousis of Hebron Kathy Dan DeYoung of Hebron Ken Cathy Seramur of Hebron Judy Seramur of Lowell Grandchildren: Aaron Steffel Jason, Joshua and Jayme DeYoung Kate and Ben Seramur Great Grandchildren: Jackson Steffel Reese and Gavin DeYoung 2 Brothers: Don and Paul 3 Sisters: Betty Turner, Lora Brown and Carol Swazye Preceded in death by his Parents: Frank and Josephine Steffel Granddaughter: Emily Seramur 3 Brothers: Frank, John and Chuck 2 Sisters: Mary Katherine Kinne and Anna Marie Keller Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Geisen Funeral Home 624 N. Main St. Hebron, IN with Pastor Brenda Ludwig officiating. Interment will be at Hebron Cemetery in Hebron, IN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Geisen Funeral Home, Hebron from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Mr. Steffel retired from J & H Tire in Hebron. James was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of Hebron High School class of 1947. James enjoyed spending time with his family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorials may be given to the Emily Seramur Scholarship at Hebron High School Fund or the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
