James D. Malouhos, age 75, of Crown Point, IN, Lakes of the Four Seasons passed away on Friday, July 17 2009 at his home. He is survived his wife, Ivi; 3 sons: Dennis Malouhos of Crystal Lake, IL, Peter Malouhos of Valparaiso, IN, and Nick Roslyn Malouhos of Valparaiso, IN; grandchildren, Daniel, Nicole, Kalli, Dimitri, and Gina; 1 sister, Filippia Lougaris of Melbrae, CA; sister-in-law, Soula Malouhos of Athens, Greece; cousins: Gust Vossos, Fay Vossos Andreatos, Danise Vossos Smith, Dannis B. Vossos and Anastasia Vossos Yiatras; and koumbaro, Bill Talidis of Union, IL. He is preceded in death by parents, Dionysios and Mavra Malouhos; 1 brother, John Malouhos and uncle and sponsor, Dannis Louise Vossos. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 8000 Madison St., Merrillville, IN, with Rev. Theodore Poteres officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Friends may visit with the family at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, IN on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM with a Trisagion service at 5:00 PM. Mr. Malouhos was a member of Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the Order of Ahepa Lodge #78 and was retired from U.S. Steel with 30 years of service. Memorials may be given to Ss.
