I just happened on Mr. Conlon's obituary while doing a search on Dyer, IN. Mr. Conlon helped me to make a barometer for an elementary school science project when I was 11 or 12 years old and he was teaching at Dyer High. I remember him being called to active duty during the Korean War. Mr. Conlon was my hero when I was a young boy and I have thought of him often over the years. It was sad to see that he passed away. He was a kind and gentle man who took the time to help a young boy with his science project. That was more than 50 years ago but I remember him to this day.
