Jaclyn Dutton, age 20, of Demotte, IN, passed away in the early hours on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
Jaclyn is survived by her parents: Frank and Jessica Dutton; twin sister, Jocelyn (Nicholas Misner) Dutton; two brothers: Rees McClosky and Oliver Dutton; grandparents: John and Valerie Dutton, Michael and Donna Kucia; aunts and uncles: James (Jessica) Dutton, Maria (Joseph) Wilson, Clinton (Brittany) Dutton, Matthew (Gayle) Dutton, Mark (Shanna) Dutton, Angela (Emil) Carlin, Kimberly (Michael) Cannon, Vanessa (Bill) Holcomb; twenty-seven cousins; and six second-cousins.
Jaclyn was a full-time student at Indiana University Northwest working toward a degree in Dental Hygiene. She also worked full-time as a Dental Hygiene Assistant at Crown Point Dental Care where she loved her job and loved her work family. Jaclyn was a bright, caring young lady with big dreams of a successful career, traveling the world, and a family of her own some day. She loved her siblings whole-heartedly and spent many nights with them in the bedroom filled with laughter. Jaclyn was a compassionate, loving friend to many and would go to great lengths to keep her friends happy and safe. She loved to dance and spent her weekends “hillbilly” dancing, as her daddy called it. Jaclyn took great joy in harassing her father with funny jokes and witty comments, always at her father’s expense. She had a special bond with her daddy that was built on love, hugs, endless humor, and laughter. Jaclyn loved her mom and resembled all of her loving and nurturing traits. This bond was shown throughout all of Jaclyn’s relationships and that love continues to fill everyone’s hearts. Above all things Jaclyn loved her family and made them a daily part of her life with visits, late-night hangouts, game nights, calls, and messages. Jaclyn left behind her cat, Dinky, whom she loved and planned on giving Dinky her own bedroom when she bought a home. Jaclyn loved the family animals and always welcomed the affection, kisses, and snuggles from her brother’s dog, Finn.
A Celebration of Jaclyn’s Life will be on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Junction by DW, 2972 E. 181st Ave., Hebron, IN 46341 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. All family and friends are welcome to attend. The family also welcomes any photos with Jaclyn that could be kept for a family keepsake to be brought to the celebration.
