Jack H. Doeing, age 65, of Hebron, IN, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. He is survived by his wife: Sandra of 41 years; 2 daughters: Tammi Doeing of Hobart, IN and Kimberly Timothy Asher of Hebron, IN; grandchildren: Riley and Marley Asher of Hebron; brothers: Joseph Doeing of Gary, IN, Pat Sally Doeing of Gary, Robert Doeing of Griffith, IN, and Bill Doeing of Merrillville, IN; sisters: Louise Tim Lyons of Hammond, IN and Ann Chester Watson of Tennessee; loyal pet dog: Ajax. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mary and Henry Doeing. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION-2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point. Jack was retired from Inland Steel with 27 years of service and was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting .Jack was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in Vietnam. Tammi,Kim,and Mom Doeing, You are in my thoughts and prayers. I can remember sitting outside in the front yard playing ball with the dog and watching your dad spoil him rotten with love and a gentle hand. And celebrating your graduations with your family. I know I can speak for myself that I will miss Dad Doeing. Again my thoughts are with you.

I worked with Jack in the mill many years ago. He taught me a few things that helped me remain there long enough to retire. I would like to render my deepest sympathy to his family for their loss.

Sandy, Tammi,and Kim, So very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. And I thought he looked good when we ran into you on NYE. Knowing him, he wouldn't have wanted to linger on in a hospital so it doesn't surprise me that he departed suddenly.
