Helen M. Frizzell

August 18, 1923 - March 10, 2010

Helen M. Frizzell, age 86 of Merrillville, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Helen was a member of the former First Church of the Nazarene in Merrillville. Preceded in death by her husband, Lewis E. Frizzell; brothers: Arthur, Homer and David Halbrook; and best friend, Myrna Park. Helen?s hobbies included needle work and collecting dolls. Helen is survived by two sons: George Donna Frizzell of Hammond and Dale Frizzell of Ward Arkansas; three grandchildren: Sherry Jim Auker, Christopher Frizzell and Chrystal Nate Henry; four sisters: Mary Bridegroom, Shirley Christy, Eva Fuson and Bonnie Glen Kirk; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Gaye Maddack. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10:00a.m. at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, with Pastor Mike Brown, officiating. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may visit with the family Sunday, March 14th from 1:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the charity of one?s choice in memory of Helen M. Frizzell. Aunt Helen taught me to make Santa ornaments one year and to this day one of those ornaments hang on my tree.

As we remember the wonderful times spent together as a family, we are also saddened by our loss. Her potato salad recipe ranked one of the best and never could be duplicated even though she shared it with everyone. She had that special touch which made the salad the greatest.

I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Helens Passing ,l'll never forget her love of dolls and they way she so patiently taught me to make beaded jewlery .
