HELEN A. KISH age 90 of Merrillville passed away Sunday April 26 2009. Survived by son William (Georgia (nee Megremis)) Kish Jr. of Merrillville daughter Helene (James) Berg of San Antonio TX 5 grandchildren: Cheryl (Brian) Hood of TX Debbie Willey of TX Lynette (Sean) Featherstone of OK Michelle (Andrew) Moon of TX and Karsie Kish of Washington D.C. 6 great-grandchildren: Matthew Kendall Brittany Brayden Bella & James 2 sisters: Delores Marvel of IL and Sister Edward Toth of MI brother Edward (Mary Kay) Toth of Hammond several nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by husband William son Kenneth 2 brothers: Stephen & George Toth and sister Margaret Dick. Mrs. Kish was a former member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church and a former teacher for the Diocese of Gary with several years of service. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville on Sunday from 3-7 P.M. with a prayer service at 6:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Monday May 4 2009 at 9:30 A.M. from the Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 A.M. from St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (801 W. 73rd St. Merrillville) with Rev. Brian Chadwick officiating. At rest Calvary Cemetery Portage. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Towne Center Nursing Home 7250 Arthur Blvd. Merrillville IN 46410.

My deepest sympathy to all of the Kish family. Mrs. Kish was my 7th -grade teacher at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School (East Gary Indiana) in 1963. I remember her well as she was a kind lady and wonderful teacher.....I also recall that her son taught there temporarily or as a substitute. Again I am sorry for your loss.
