Helen J. Reichert nee Wornhoff age 81 of Cedar Lake, IN passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009 at her home. She is survived by her 2 daughters: Kay Lynn Randy Maybaum of Crown Point Sandy Sykes of Crown Point son: Bernie Reichert of Cedar Lake grandchildren: Michael Sykes of Indianapolis Kimberly Sykes of Crown Point 1 brother: Barney Wornhoff of Cedar Lake Numerous Nieces and Nephews Preceded in death by her husband: Elroy parents: William and Frieda Wornhoff 2 brothers: Walt and Elmer 2 sisters: Evelyn and Edna Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Zion United Church of Christ 14804 113th Ave. Dyer, IN with Rev. Clifford DiMascio officiating. Interment at Zion Cemetery in Dyer, IN Visitation will be at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, Crown Point NOTE: NEW LOCATION at 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN 2 Blocks East of Broadway on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM. Mrs. Reichert was an active member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Dyer. She was a former Sunday school teacher and member of the Women's Guild. Helen was former owner along with her husband of Reichert's Tavern in Brunswick, IN. She was also an avid card player.
