Helen Finnerty

Helen Finnerty nee Niedrich, age 91, of Lompoc, CA, formerly of Crown Point and Glen Park, IN, passed away peacefully in California with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. She is survived by 7 children, Judy Bud Griesel, John Loretta Finnerty, Maureen Bill McMahan, Mary Romcevich, Tom Brenda Finnerty, Jerry Kim Finnerty and Kevin Brenda Finnerty; brother, Robert Helen Niedrich; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Michael; daughter, Patricia; parents, Gustav & Minerva Niedrich; 3 sisters, Louise Smith, Bernice Molskey and Florence Sticken; 2 brothers, Clarence Stedman and William Niedrich. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Noon at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre, NOTE: NEW LOCATION-2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN. with Fr. Jim Wozniak officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Helen was a homemaker and devoted her life to her husband and children. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Lompoc, CA and St. Matthias in Crown Point.
