HAROLD PETTIT, age 93 a life-long Crown Point resident, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015. Survived by three sons: Terry (Anne), Jack (Pam), and Paul (Pam); six grandchildren: Chip (Karin) Pettit, Jessica (Matt) Albaugh, Sandy (Ken) Bobby, Katherine (James) Wagenschutz, Don Pettit, Shiloh (Jeremy) Banning, and Emma Pettit; seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Shirley; brother, Don Pettit; sisters: Thelma Clark, Mary Ellen Karlan. Harold was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Crown Point. He was a retired route salesman from Pleasant View Dairy for 40 years. Harold was a graduate of Crown Point High School, Class of 1939. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and member of American Legion Post 20. He was a former member of Crown Point Little League Board of Directors and coached there as well, and supported all Crown Point sports teams. Harold was the coordinator of the Senior Golf League at Oak Knoll for 25 years. Family and friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service, 811 E. Franciscan Dr. (south of St. Rd. 231 on St. Rd. 55), Crown Point, on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. from First Presbyterian Church, 218 S. Court St., Crown Point with Rev. David Wood officiating. At rest Maplewood Memorial Cemetery, Crown Point. Memorials are preferred to First Presbyterian Church.
