Harold C. Lovely, age 75, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Porter Hospital Valparaiso Campus. He is survived by his wife, Susan, 2 daughters, Patricia Patrick Broadrick of Tampa, FL and Danielle Aaron Vakovetz of Merrillville, IN, 1 son, Bryan Lovely of Valparaiso, IN, 3 grandsons, Ryan, Chris and Billy, 3 sisters: Susan, Louise, and Helen, brother, Roger Lovely, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Reva and 1 brother and 1 sister. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 7:00 PM at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION at 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN 2 blocks east of Broadway with Pastor Brenda Lugwig officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Mr. Lovely was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Bethlehem Steel with over 30 years of service. Harold enjoyed college football and boxing and was an avid Notre Dame football fan. Dear Susan and Children, I had the opportunity to meet Harold when I was a teenager waitressing at a restaurant,Perkins, he would frequent on his way to and from work.He was such a funny and polite man with a gentle soul. It was so noticeable the love he felt for Susan and then the children when they came along. I always sensed he would give them the world if they needed it.I continued to see Harold and Susan throughout the years in the community. How proud he continued to be of his family.It is such a great sorrow to lose a family member. I know that the wonderful memories you have will help you through these difficult times.

To my second mother, my brother Bryan and sister Dani, I offer all the love I have to give. I truly wish you lived in Floridathe cold turns me into a Popsicle,so I could help with caring for Susan. I have been here for I think, four days, and the love and care my siblings are giving Mom is above and beyond anything I have ever seen. Susan is so lucky to have raised such wonderful caring children. I wish I could have spent more time with my father and his family. All of our hearts are hurting and we are all going to miss our father, and Susan, her husband of 40 years. So Please pray for us especially for Susan's health. Thank you all.
