Grace Johnson Ochs, age 85, of Acworth, GA, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Grace is survived by her children: Beth (Harry) Bielawski of St. John, Christine (Jim) Hayes of Acworth, GA, step-children: Tina (Craig) Heisey of Macon, GA, James Ochs of Crown Point; grandchildren: Matt (Jaimie) Hayes, Ryan (Courtney) Hayes, Brian (Michell) Bielawski and Alex Bielawski; great-grandchildren: Wyatt Hayes, Miller Hayes, Duke Hayes, Foster Hayes and Mila Bielawski

Grace was preceded in death by her husbands: Donald Johnson, Joseph Ochs; and parents: Joseph and Frances Finn; and sister, Gloria (Stuart) Waters.

Grace was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the National MS Society. She enjoyed traveling and cruises with family and friends. Grace was an avid reader and liked to craft and sew.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Grace’s name to the National MS Society, 3500 DePauw Blvd., Suite 1040, Indianapolis, IN 46268.

Grace was my cousin, sometimes babysitter, and lifetime heroine. I admired her so much for the way she lived her life and loved her family. She was a beautiful human being both inside and out. Although I seldom saw Grace as adults, there was something very reassuring to know that she was a presence in this world. My heart goes out to all of her family and friends as we find comfort with each other and in our memories of Grace. A donation to MS will be made in her memory.
