Geraldine M. Pelton “Deanie” nee Kaiser age 72 of Crown Point, IN passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at her home. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Hiram “Hi” Pelton. Children: Timothy Pelton of Indianapolis, IN Skip Tami Pelton of Crown Point Tina Tom Robinson of Crown Point Mindi Doug Handley of Crown Point 6 grandchildren: Jenni Lance Culp Brad Pelton Jason Pelton Clay and Ty Handley Maggie Robinson 1 great grandson: Parker Culp step grandchildren: Pete Kim Robinson and Jennifer Ray numerous nieces and nephews Preceded in death by parents: Ray and Vivian Kaiser 1 sister: LaVonne Kaiser Friant Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATIONat 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN 2 Blocks East of Broadway with John P. Starr officiating. Interment at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery in Crown Point. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 15, 2009 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a PSI IOTA XI Sorority service at 7:00 PM. Deanie was an Honorary Retiree of PSI IOTA XI Sorority. She enjoyed playing bridge with her lifelong girlfriends. Her favorite pastimes included; reading, gardening, fishing and shopping but most of all spending time with her grandchildren – her loves of her life. Deanie was a graduate of Crown Point High School class of 1954, where she was crowned Homecoming Queen. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Anthony Hospice. Dear Hi, Mindi, Doug, Tina, Tom, Tim, Skip, & Tami Kathy and I are so sorry to hear about Deanie passing. We know that she put up a good fight and that she will be missed by many. We unfortunatly went through a similiar experience with my dad and all we can say is thank god for the wonderful people at St. Anthony hospice. Without them I don't think we could have gotten through this trying period. Kathy and I will keep her in our prayers and gladly support St. Anthony hospice in her name.

Mr. Pelton, Tim, Skip, Tina and Mindy, I am so sorry for your loss. Mom told me your mom had been sick. I lost my step-mom in November and I know how hard it is. She was also in St. Anthony's Hospice and the eight days we spent there was extremely hard; but, the facility was so welcoming and it allow our family to be with her. Once again my thoughts and prayers are with you.
