GEORGE KATUNICH age 94 of Aurora formerly of Hobart and Tolleston passed away Monday April 7 2008. Survived by son George (Peggy) Katunich of Calabasas CA daughter Shirley (Dick) Yingst of Batavia IL three grandchildren: Alex (Emily) Katunich of Bell Canyon CA Lauren Katunich of Studio City CA Adam Yingst of Batavia IL two sisters: Mildred (Earl) Rice of Hobart Kay Smith of Hobart. Preceded in death by wife Julia parents Kate and George Katunich brother John Katunich five sisters: Ann Golubic Mary Katunich Dorothy Katunich Helen King and Barbara Luptak. George was a former member of St. Bridget and Sacred Heart Catholic Churches. He was a retired crane man from Gary Works U.S. Steel with 42 years of service a former member of The Sportsmen Club and a member of CFU Lodge 170. Funeral service will be held Friday April 11 2008 at 12:00 Noon DIRECTLY at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church 5885 Harrison St. Merrillville with Rev. Dennis Teles officiating. There will be a one hour visitation prior to service at the church. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Plum Landing Retirement Community 495 N.
