George Frankovich

August 20, 1926 - April 11, 2006

GEORGE FRANKOVICH age 79 of Merrillville passed away Monday April 11 2006. Survived by 2 sons: John (Dianne) Frankovich & James (Valerie) Frankovich both of Schererville 4 grandchildren: Chris (Andrea) Frankovich Danielle Dominique & Jonathan Frankovich 2 great-grandchildren: Benjamin & Shane Frankovich sister Violet Frankovich of Las Vegas NV. Preceded in death by wife Marie. Mr. Frankovich was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church Msgr. Ryder Council #4047 and C.F.U. Lodge #170. George was a retired yardmaster from EJ & E Railroad with 40 years of service a WW II Army veteran and a graduate of Froebel High School. Private services were held for the family at Pruzin Brothers Chapel with Rev. Andrew Corona officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville.

Jim and John I returned from a 10 day business trip and saw the obituary. I wanted to send my deepest sympathies for your loss and let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I lost my father a short time back and I know the pain. We may not have seen each other for years but that doesnt negate our past friendship and my sincere thoughts for the both of you.
