Gene P. Sadler, age 75 of Michigan City, died Thursday, March 11 at St. Anthony Memorial Health Care. Committal services of ashes will be held at Greenwood Cemetery Thursday, March 18 at 10:00 a.m with Pastor Lynn Breeden officiating. He was born July 22, 1934 in Michigan City to Samuel C. and Lucille M. (Moore) Sadler, both of whom preceded him in death. On October 6, 1969 in Michigan City, he married Bernice Aitken, she preceded him in death on April 22, 2008. Surviving are his sons Gary (Peggy) Sadler of LaPorte, Roger (Paula) Sadler of Michigan City, daughter Carol (Ray) Fulkerson of Michigan City, son-in-law Chuck Hullings, Michigan City, grandchildren Tammy (John) Spears, Kim (Jeff) Perrin, Angela (J.T.) Roberts, many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, sister Cynthia (Alan)Berg of Michigan City, niece and nephew Robyn (Richard) Boehnlein, and Larry (Mary) Berg. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Hullings. Gene had been a foreman at Jet Fabricators for over 30 years. He was a member of Queen of All Saints Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid animal lover who adored his dogs. Memorial contributions may be made to Michiana Humane Society.
