Gail LaBelle

Gail LaBelle nee Doughty, age 59, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Hammond, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at St. Anthony Hospice after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother She is survived by her husband, Robert LaBelle, Jr, 2 children; Ginger Charles LaBelle-Brown of WI, Daniel LaBelle of Crown Point, granddaughter; Katarina Lillian Brown, brother; Brady Marga Doughty of MD and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Esther Doughty and brother; Dennis Doughty. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 5:00 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre, NOTE: NEW LOCATION-2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN with Deacon Gene LaBelle officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre. Gail was a retired bookkeeper and office manager at Home Lumber Company in Crown Point and Dyer. She graduated from Gavit High School and attended Purdue University. Gail enjoyed traveling, Las Vegas and going to casinos. Her family will miss her in their lives as well as her cherry pies. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children Hospital.
