FRED E. SCHEUB age 81 of Merrillville passed away Tuesday May 31 2011. Survived by wife Rosemary of 58 years children: Fred Scheub of Merrillville Jeff (Susan) Scheub of Portage Larry (Karen) Scheub of Pelham AL Trish Carmichael of Merrillville & Robert (Kristin) Scheub of Valparaiso 9 grandchildren: Kira (Brad) Healy Bryan & Erik Scheub Casey & Hannah Scheub Kyle Neff Aaron Carmichael Jacob & Ethan Scheub great-grandson Karson Healy 3 brothers: Harold Scheub of Madison WI Ken (Judy) Scheub of Chattanooga TN and Gerry (Mary) Scheub of Merrillville goddaughter Lauren (Peter) McCann of Chattanooga TN and many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by parents Fred & Evelyn Scheub Mr. Scheub was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church and held the position of Head Elder and was a former member of Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church. He was a retired supervisor with Heckett Engineering with 25 years of service. Fred was a graduate of Tolleston High School Class of 1948 served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952 during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #485. He was a member of the Calumet Officials Association the Lake County Officials Association and is a member of the Calumet Lutheran Dartball Hall of Fame. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (6360 Broadway Merrillville) on Thursday from 2-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held Friday June 3 2011 at 11:00 A.M. DIRECTLY at Resurrection Lutheran Church (8061 East Lincoln Highway Crown Point) with Rev. Robert Breitbarth officiating. At rest Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Schererville. Memorials are preferred to Resurrection Lutheran Church or to VNA Hospice of Valparaiso.
