Rosemary & Family Fred and I were good friends back in our high school days. He has always had a special place in my heart. I am one of the Roach girls from Horace Mann. I wonder if he ever spoke of the great times that we had together during that time to all of you? Fred and Don Koester used to walk or ride their bicycles over to our house several times a week back in 1947 & 1948. After he graduated and joined the Navy we corresponded for a couple years. I have several nice portraits of him and the ship he served on that he sent to me during that time. I would like to offer them to you or your children if you would like to have them. I was so pleased when he came to the visitation when my father died in 1974 and had always hoped that our paths would cross again under more pleasant circumstances but it never happened. My sincere sympathy goes to all of you and may God give you comfort and strength to go on without him. Erma (Roach) Covault
