Frank X. Kryzan, a former Municipal Judge and former Mayor of Youngstown, Ohio, died Saturday, March 13, at the age of 96 in Crown Point, Indiana, where he had been living for the past six years. Judge Kryzan was born on November 27, 1913, in Youngstown, Ohio. He received his Bachelor of Laws degree from Youngstown College. He later served in the United States Army during World War II, and received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and two Combat Stars for his service. Judge Kryzan was married to the former Carolyn Siembieda of Campbell, Ohio, who died in 1970. Judge Kryzan married Tina Siembieda Zbell in 1971. She passed away in July, 2009. He is survived by his daughters Carol Thomas Ward and Alice Robert Berger Kryzan; four grandchildren, Jill Charles Zaccaria, Adam Amanda and Matthew Elizabeth Ward, and Sam Berger; and, three great-grandchildren, Andrew Ward and Michael and Nicholas Zaccaria. He is also survived by his step-children Richard Zbell and Judith Zearvins, four step-grandchildren, James Carolyn Zbell, John Janine Zbell, Jeffrey Zbell and Joseph Zbell, and four step-great-grandchildren, Amber, Brett, Jacquelyn and Jimmy. There will be no local visitation or funeral services. Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave, Crown Point, IN is in charge of local arrangements.
