It's a great man who leaves a legacy to be remembered by all he came in contact with.... Floyd was such a man. He will surely be missed. On behalf of Omni, its members, and vendors; our prayers go out to the Catterlin family.

I am so sorry that I was not able to be there to offer my condolences in person. I've had a fall and am laid up waiting for surgery on March 2st at Northwestern. Floyd will be sorely missed by us at the Museum. He really was the leader of the judges for Veteran of the Year. I don't know what we'll do without him. Please let me know if there is anything that we can do during this difficult time for your family.

Dear Ruth, Karen, Kurt and Families, I am so sorry to hear of Floyd's passing. Please know that you have my deepest sympathy and prayers at this time. He was a wonderful man -full of fun. I really wish I could be there, but I'm glad Sue & Jeff and Kenny & Lisa could come last night. Ruth, I'm sure you're aware that Mom has been having some difficulties with Alzheimer's the past year or so. She does have good days, but she certainly does have some not so good days... God bless all of you! You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you go forward. With Love, Sheila and Family

Ginnie Schlosser left a message on February 5, 2007:
Floyd did more than just exist in his lifetime. He truly made a difference with the many community services he provided. Floyd is an example I hope to follow. Eighteen years ago when I needed a job, he provided one. I remember getting a speeding ticket (as a young newly wed) on my way to work at City Supply. I came in so upset that it was an $80 ticket. Floyd pulled the money (without anyone else knowing) right out of his pocket and offered to pay it for me. He will be missed, but not forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with Ruth, your children, and grandchildren.
Ann & Charlie Slomski left a message on February 5, 2007:
Hi Ruth, Karen, Kurt and Families, We were so sorry to hear about Floyd. He was a super guy. I will always remember when Kurt was baptized and you had me for dinner afterwards. Later in the day, Floyd got up and left the room. I thought it was a signal for me to go home, but I was having so much fun being with all of you. Ruth, you informed me that Floyd went to SHAVE. I said what? You said he always shaved twice a day, so he could pick up Kurt and give him kisses without scratching Kurt's face. I laughed but also thought what a great father. Charlie is in the hospital, so that is the reason that I cannot attend Floyd's viewing or funeral. But you all will be in my prayers and thoughts. With sympathy, Anna Marie
